Arduino Uno R3 SMD – ATmega328P Surface-Mount, CH340G USB | Full Shield & Library Compatibility, 16MHz, 32KB Flash
The Arduino Uno R3 SMD is the surface-mount edition of the world's most popular microcontroller board, featuring the ATmega328P soldered directly to the PCB (SMD) rather than in a removable DIP socket, paired with a CH340G USB-to-serial interface. It retains 100% compatibility with the Arduino ecosystem — every shield, library, and sketch that works on the standard Uno R3 works here — while delivering a more compact, vibration-resistant build suited for permanent installations. Runs at 16MHz with 32KB flash, 2KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM, 14 digital I/O pins (6 PWM), and 6 analog inputs on a 68.6 × 53.4mm board powered via USB or 7–12V DC jack.
- ATmega328P SMD – controller soldered directly for improved vibration resistance and a cleaner board profile
- CH340G USB interface – plug-and-play USB programming on Linux, Windows, and macOS
- Full Arduino Uno R3 compatibility – every shield, library, and sketch works without modification
- 14 digital I/O pins, 6 PWM – drive motors, servos, LEDs, relays, and more
- 6 analog inputs – 10-bit ADC for sensors, potentiometers, and analog signal reading
- 32KB flash / 2KB SRAM / 1KB EEPROM – ample memory for complex sketches and data logging
- Dual power input – USB (5V) or DC barrel jack (7–12V) with onboard regulation
- -40°C to 90°C operating range – suitable for both indoor and outdoor embedded deployments
Ideal Applications
- Prototyping microcontroller projects with the full Arduino shield ecosystem
- Educational coding, electronics labs, and STEM curricula
- Sensor integration, data logging, and control systems
- Robotics, autonomous vehicles, and embedded motor control
- IoT experimentation and home automation prototypes
- Permanent installations where a soldered MCU improves reliability over DIP
